Dr. Hahn has spent over 20 years in interventional pain management, and is a fellowship-trained and board-certified specialist in pain medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City and completed his residency at Case Western Reserve University, going on to finish his pain fellowship on the front range at the University of Colorado Denver.
Dr. Hahn is a recognized member of the Colorado Medical Society, American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Pain Society, the International Spinal Injection Society and the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Aside from interventional procedures, Dr. Hahn specializes in implantable techniques, such as intrathecal pain pumps, as well as the use of ketamine to treat severe cases of depression and pain.
In addition to practicing at CIPS, Dr. Hahn is the medical director of the Pain Center of the Roaring Forks in Aspen, where he currently resides. “A comprehensive approach to pain treatment is important because it increases the chances of a patient’s improvement,” says Dr. Hahn. “There is simply no single way of dealing with pain.”
“I work closely with my patients to find the most effective techniques in each individual case. Our ultimate goal as physicians is to lessen or, if possible, cure the pain and help to improve the patient’s quality of life.”
